Congratulations to Katherine Laemmle from SEMR association, Frankston, who was selected to represent Australia at the International Youth Cup in Sydney. Katherine played with the Australian U17 Girls team which had been selected following on from the National U17 Girls Championships in April. Katherine had played well for Victoria at the championships and was a late call up to the Australian team for the IYC.
Katherine had played with the SEMR team at the Easter Junior Tournament and also performed well at that tournament. Katherine is a very versatile player who plays short stop and in the outfield. We hope this is the start of a long career of Australian representation for Katherine!
